Remington is a smart, capable dog who thrives with clear structure and guidance. During his time in training, he has made great progress and has shown that he is eager to learn and build a strong relationship with his people. He enjoys having direction and does best with a confident handler who can provide leadership and consistency.  

Remington is off-leash trained with a solid recall and loves being outside. One of his favorite activities is going on off-leash walks where he can explore while staying connected to his handler. He also loves playing ball and enjoys interactive time with his person.  

Like many dogs with German Shepherd–type traits, Remington can be naturally cautious with strangers and protective of his home. He is not a dog who enjoys unfamiliar people immediately approaching or petting him. When introductions are done thoughtfully—such as meeting on a walk and giving him time to observe—he warms up and settles in well.  

He has made great progress with men and can go into public places like stores without becoming overwhelmed, though he prefers that strangers respect his space rather than petting him. Remington has shown discomfort around children and will need an adult-only home.  

The good news is that Remington is cat friendly and has lived successfully around cats.  

Remington is looking for a patient, experienced owner who understands the importance of structure, consistency, and continued training. With the right guidance and a strong bond with his person, he has the potential to be an incredibly loyal and rewarding companion. Continued training support will be provided to his adopter to help ensure a successful transition and ongoing progress.
