Vixen

Vixen
Bully Mix
Female, 3 yrs, 74 lbs. (working on losing a few!)
Vixen is the total package when it comes to personality. She’s affectionate, loyal, and deeply people-oriented, with a heart as big as her sturdy frame. This girl lives for connection—whether it’s soaking up belly rubs, leaning in for snuggles, or flashing her signature smile that instantly wins people over. She’s friendly and enthusiastic, the kind of dog who assumes everyone she meets is a new best friend.
She’s also got great manners. Vixen knows how to sit, takes treats gently on command, walks nicely on a leash, and is kennel trained. She’s attentive, responsive, and enjoys being with her people—whether that’s hanging out in the yard, going for a walk, or sticking close by your side. While she’s an active girl, she doesn’t require intense exercise—daily walks, playtime, or a small hike suit her just fine.
Vixen enjoys the company of other dogs and plays well, but because she’s strong and built like a little tank, she does best with dogs her size or larger who can match her energy and play style. She doesn’t quite realize how big she is—she’s convinced she’s a lap dog at heart.
Vixen’s story hasn’t been an easy one. She was rescued in Louisiana during the winter after being dumped at a vacant property while heavily pregnant. Desperate and seeking help, she approached people in the neighborhood—but because of her size and breed, she was repeatedly turned away. As temperatures dropped well below freezing for days, tragedy struck. Several of her unborn puppies did not survive, leading to a life-threatening infection that required emergency surgery.
But Vixen is nothing if not resilient. She fought through, made a full recovery, and has been thriving ever since in her foster home, where she is deeply loved.
Even with all she has to offer, Vixen continues to be overlooked—often because of her size or her strong, enthusiastic personality. But underneath that powerful build is a soft, devoted dog who just wants to belong.
Vixen doesn’t just need a home—she deserves a family who will love her fully, include her in their lives, and see her for who she truly is: a survivor, a companion, and an incredibly good girl.
Could you be the one she’s been waiting for?
