Mix breed, possibly beagle/Catahoula
Female, 3 years, 36 lbs
Beagle sized, but thick and sturdy
Speck is always happy, tail is always wagging, she is very good natured
She loves everyone, loves attention
She likes meeting other dogs and hopes they will play with her

She is an energetic dog, so she would make a great outdoor adventure partner, or would equally do well with a family that can get her out for daily walks or to the dog park

Speck was found abandoned in a Louisiana oil field. It is unfortunately quite common for people to discard dogs in the oilfields.   With her was her litter of 5 tiny puppies.  She was eager for help, gave herself up willingly, and went to a wonderful rescue where she finished raising her puppies.   Her puppies are all in Vermont now.  It's Speck's turn for her own loving family.  Maybe one day she might even meet one of her pups again!
