Meet Scooter – Your New Best Friend in the Making!

Scooter is a 10-month-old bundle of joy with a heart as big as his 65-pound frame. Found wandering a back country road, this sweet boy has left his past behind and is now ready to leap into a bright future with a family who will love him as much as he loves life!

With his happy-go-lucky attitude and boundless puppy energy, Scooter is always ready to play, explore, and snuggle up when the day is done. He adores people and does wonderfully with other dogs, showing great social skills both at his foster home and even at the vet’s office! He hasn’t met cats up close, but he didn’t pay much attention to the ones he saw crated at the vet.

Scooter is great with children, but because of his playful enthusiasm, we recommend a home with kids over the age of 4. He wouldn’t hurt a fly on purpose, but his zoomies could accidentally knock over a tiny tot!

He’s been living in a spacious outdoor pen, so while we’re not certain of his house manners, he showed no signs of marking during his vet visit — a good sign he may be housebroken or well on his way. He walks on a leash (though he’ll pull a bit if something fun catches his eye), and rides well in the car after a few initial nerves.

Scooter is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, and receiving flea/tick preventatives. He’s scheduled to be neutered on July 8th, and after that, he’ll be ready to go home!
