River is the tiniest little heartbeat of this rescued Louisiana trio. At just 8 lbs, she may be the smallest, but she’s packed with sweetness, smarts, and the most irresistible red freckles scattered across her medium-fluffy coat.

River is the only pup in the litter who shows a hint of her Heeler heritage — a little speckled, a little curious, and wonderfully observant. She starts off a touch shy with new people, but that melts fast. Within moments she’s snuggled into your arms, trusting, soft, and fully in love.

This girl adores:

• Cuddling (top of the list!)

• Playing with other dogs

• Trotting around with a toy

• Chasing leaves or investigating a good stick

• Coming when called — she genuinely wants to connect

River and her siblings came from an “accidental” litter, being given away in a parking lot before rescue stepped in. Despite that rough start, she is thriving. She’s doing beautifully with crate training and house training, and she has all the makings of a devoted, gentle, joyful companion.
