Pumpkin is a resilient dog.  He was found in Louisiana, emaciated, with small scars on his face and body.  We can only imagine what his life was like before being rescued.

He has blossomed both physically and mentally in foster care.  While he was hesitant at first around other dogs, he has learned they are great playmates.   He was initially nervous with other dogs at feeding time, but has learned that someone will always feed him, and even give him snacks!

He likes to cuddle and snuggle under blankets and has taken to indoor dog life very well. He loves his squeaky toys, toys he probably never had before. 

Pumpkin is an energetic, athletic dog and will be great with an active person or family.

He will need a patient family that will let him decompress and get used to a new home.  He has been through so much, slow and steady intros to all aspects of his new life are recommended, including other dogs.  No cats please. 

He has learned to Sit, and will walk on a leash but he does pull.  Pumpkin is eager to please and will do well with more obedience training.
