Kira is a 1 year old spayed female pit mix. She’s around 55lbs, and is one of the friendliest, most happy go lucky dogs you’ll ever meet and she is always wagging her entire body to show it (she has a short tail so it’s extra cute when she wiggles).
She is high energy, so she would do best in a home with a very active person or people. She wants to please you, but just hasn’t been shown the proper way to do it.

She loves everyone, but gets so excited when people pay attention to her that she forgets to leave her paws on the ground. So small kids wouldn’t be a good idea, not because she would ever intentionally hurt them, but her exuberance may be too much.

Kira is kennel and house trained, but will need boundaries set for what she is and isn’t allowed to do. She is good with recall, and she’s treat motivated, so working with her is fun.

Dogs are amazing examples of resilience and forgiveness, and despite her difficult start, Kira has so much love to give. With a little patience, lots of exercise, and some consistency, Kira will be an amazing lifelong friend.
