Mix small breed, long hair
Male, 3-4 years, 30 lbs
Gizmo's elderly owner passed away last year and while a family member took him in, she already has a full pack of dogs, and would like to find Gizmo a home where he can be the centre of someone's world.
Gizmo is the ultimate lap dog.  He's quite clingy, very loving. 
He would do best with retired people or work from home people, as he was used to his prior owner always being home. 
He is best with older, calm and respectful kids, as little grabby children make him nervous if they pull on his fur. 
He gets along fine with other dogs, and is playful with them.
Giz is housebroken, and currently uses a doggie door to go outside in Louisiana.
He knows how to Sit on command for a treat.
He has not been leash walked very much, so there will be a learning curve for him.
Giz is overweight and needs to lose a few lbs with exercise and diet. 
He should be groomed once in a while as well to keep his long fur in good shape.
