For the Love of Dogs Rescue pulled Gentle Ben from a shelter in GA after seeing a photo of him in an emaciated and neglected state. He was listed as a 16-year-old boxer/pit mix, but the vet put Ben as 6 years old at time of rescue instead of 16. He is now 9 years old. He pulled at the heartstrings and was due to be euthanized the following day. While at FLOD Ben has been treated for eye issues, heartworm treatment, gained his healthy weight back, and most importantly received the love and affection he thrives on. 

Gentle Ben has many more years to live than first expected and is looking for a senior dog friendly home. His vision is impaired, but he gets around well.  Ben is not a sloppy wet kisser but loves full face contact.  He also enjoys butt scratches and leisurely walks around the yard.  At this point in his life, he is content to find a quiet place on the floor, and chill until meals are served.

Like MANY other shelter dogs Gentle Ben had a rough start, but he deserves and is looking forward to his second chance at life.
