Meet Cricket — one of the adorable 11-week-old rat terrier brothers, Cricket and Caleb! These two were rescued in Louisiana from a home with too many dogs and not enough resources. Whether they’re purebred or mixed, what we do know is that they are incredibly sweet, happy little puppies.

Cricket is currently 4.8 lbs and got his name because, when first rescued, he weighed less than one pound — a tiny little fighter. He’s naturally more timid than his brother, which makes sense when the big world feels even bigger to such a small pup. When overwhelmed, he’ll scamper to his safe spot, but he warms up quickly and becomes the most affectionate, snuggly, gentle kisser you’ll ever meet. Cricket would do best in a home with older kids or no kids, simply because loud, unpredictable noise can be too much for him.

He has a huge personality tucked into his small frame, gets along beautifully with other animals, and loves running around the yard and playing with his toys. Both boys sleep together in a crate at night and will use a potty pad if they can’t get outside in time. They’re very smart and impossible not to fall in love with. They are expected to be 8–12 lbs full grown.
