Purebred German Shepherd
Female, 5 mos, 43 lbs. (will be large)
Addie’s a very smart girl
Relatively calm for a puppy
Gets along with other dogs, it would be best for her to be around calm dogs so she doesn’t overdo it
She likes short walks and playing in the yard, but gets tired with distance
Her best friend is a cat
Thrives on positive reinforcement and affection
Loves car rides and sleeping on her back in the sun
A huge fan of her overstuffed bed
Will sleep in kennel but prefers to be with you
Likes the water so it would be good for her to have access to swimming for PT

Addie was born with a deformity in her front leg. On the vets recommendation, rescue waited til she was old enough to have the needed surgery (amputation), which she just had 2 wks ago. She’s doing well with her recovery. Addie is looking for a special home with one level or minimum stairs or a ramp to help her navigate them. She does well with a harness with a handle on the back, which is good because it provides easy access to assist her if she needs it.

Because she was born without the use of that leg, she doesn’t know she’s any different than any other dog. The vet said, “God gave dogs 3 legs and a spare.” Addie will make a wonderful, loving companion. Her siblings have already been adopted in VT, let’s find her her new forever home!
