Loyal, playful and sweet
Enjoys long walks (loose leash trained), loves the outdoors
Also loves being a couch potato, or sleeping on the bed
Happy meeting new people, looks for petting, affectionate
Loves attention, especially getting chest and belly rubs
Would do fine as an only dog; will be a loyal companion
A dog for all seasons, loves wintertime snow and sunbathing in the summer
Well-trained, did puppy classes and knows lots of commands (Sit, Stay, Back, Leave it, Drop it, Lay down ("plotz"), High Five, Paw, and more!)
Will do best in a quieter home with older, gentle kids or adults only (noisy toddlers make him nervous)
Responds well to gentle, calm handling; is treat-oriented and wants to please
Has met other dogs at a dog park, played and ran with friendly, well-mannered dogs, but he does not like dogs that are pushy with him
Unfortunately, he has had 3 very negative experiences with unleashed neighbors' dogs while he was leashed. He was attacked and bitten once, needed to go to the ER; he is now wary of other dogs and should be introduced slowly to all dogs
A kind, confident handler that could give him more positive socialization experiences with other friendly dogs would be best
If he is at home with other dogs, he does fine when fed separately; he does not like other dogs around his food
He could possibly live with a very mellow, non confrontational dog
